bareMinerals Makeup Review (Customizable Starter Kit)

bareMinerals Customizable 8 Piece Get-Started Kit (£50) is a basic set of essentials for every skin type and shade. I came across this in John Lewis while searching for a new brand of makeup. I had previously used other brands and found that they were too heavy for my skin and they did not give me the 'natural look' i desired . According to bareMinerals there are a number of benefits that come with using these products: 

• SPF 15 Foundation offers buildable coverage with an incredibly flawless, even application, never settling into fine lines or drying out skin
• Warmth All-Over Face Color adds a natural sun-kissed glow
• Original Mineral Veil finishing powder imparts a translucent soft-focus finish, while absorbing excess oil and keeping your complexion fresh all day
• Our Foundation, Mineral Veil and Warmth are made with only the purest, highest quality ingredients—and none of the harsh chemicals and preservatives that can irritate skin

I have been using these products for over a year now and, for the most part, they are great. With practice you become better at applying the foundation (which stays on much better with the help of the bareMineral primer). If not using a bareMineral makeup brush the foundation can be applied too heavily and therefore does not look great. I found, for the compressed powder foundation, it is a wise investment to purchase the special bareMineral brush (£20) as this creates a better finish.

I strongly recommend these products. They provide the perfect tonal balance for every shade of skin.
